Dr. Talal Khader Talal is a Podiatric Consultant and Head of Podiatric Services at Hamad Medical Corporation, specializing in comprehensive foot and ankle surgery and reconstruction. Dr Talal is an Executive Member of the Gulf Diabetic Foot Working Group and a diplomate of the American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry. He is certified in the Prevention and Treatment of Diabetic Foot Wounds, Limb Preservation and Salvage, Diabetic Footwear and Charcot Reconstruction. Dr Talal holds a bachelor’s degree with a Major in Biology from Simpson College, Indianola, Iowa, USA. He then became a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine after graduating from Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine at the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine.
Dr. Talal had completed 4 years pre- medical studies in Simpson College, Indiana Iowa and awarded bachelor’s degree majoring in Biology in 1993 followed by 4 years of podiatry school then 2 years of specialized residency training in Podiatric Surgery including one-year Podiatric Medicine Residency training and one – year Podiatric Surgical Residency at the Greater Detroit Hospital in Michigan, USA.
After the completion of his surgical residency training, he successfully passed the American Board of Podiatric Surgery in July 1999 and was awarded American Board of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery.
Dr. Talal is licensed to practice as Doctor of Podiatric Surgery in USA he passed the medical licensing exam held by Michigan Board of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery and the State Board of Podiatry Examiners in the State of Iowa. He also worked for two years in St. Luke Regional Medical Center in Iowa and where he was acknowledged by the medical board as member of the Medical Staff. Dr. Talal was granted the clinical privileges to do podiatric medicine and surgical procedure at Hamad Medical Corporation.
